ESOL Courses

(English for Speakers of Others Languages)

If English is not your first language, this qualification can give you additional experience and skills in speaking, writing, listening and reading.

At Salford City College Group, we offer a wide range of ESOL courses from Pre-Entry to Level 2.

Level 1 Courses

A Foundational Entryway

Level 1 qualifications include GCSEs at grades 3, 2, and 1, (D, E, F, G) as well as a range of diplomas and certificates. We offer Level 1 qualifications in a range of subject areas, including trade skills such as welding, plumbing and plastering, in addition to business skills such as bookkeeping. Level 1 courses provide a foundational entryway into a range of career pathways.

Level 2 Courses

(Including GCSE Maths & English)

Many Level 2 qualifications are the next step up from their Level 1 equivalent, growing on the skills and knowledge you have already acquired. Depending on the area of study, a Level 2 qualification could lead to a further qualification or act as a career pathway. As part of our Level 2 offer, adults can complete their maths and English qualifications at the College.

Level 3 Courses

(Including Access to University Courses)

Including vocational qualifications, diplomas, and Access to University courses, Level 3 qualifications are equivalent to 3 A-Levels and can serve both as a pathway to studying at university or as a recognised trade-skill training qualification.
